Focusing on the self and healing naturally can be done with holistic thinking, which is viewing the body as a whole unit, rather than in parts. There are many treatments aligned with this view of health, and some of these effective treatments are offered at holistic wellness clubs and centers, including any high-quality holistic wellness club in Kansas City or elsewhere. Below, we share just 10 of the many effective holistic wellness treatments that are performed at most holistic wellness clubs.

Massage therapy

There are many kinds of massages offered from hot stone massages, massages for expecting mothers, deep tissue massages, and many more. There is something for everyone.

Massage is beneficial to the body in many ways. It relaxes the nervous system while stimulating it at the same time. This regenerates the body's blood circulation and leads to pain reduction and the release of muscle tension. That muscle tension can cause daily discomfort without you even being aware of the source. A massage can ease tension and provide an entirely new fresh feel for your body.

Spa facial massages

Wrinkles and fine lines can be reduced by regular massages. Lymphatic buildup of fluid in the face is released through massage, keeping the body draining and moving the toxins where they need to go. There are facial massages for blemishes and others to help one defy age marks.

Steam baths

These are a beneficial way to holistically cleanse the body. Aromatherapy

Meditation

It may sound too simple to be an effective treatment, but it has been shown that even a restful conscious break of at least 10 minutes a day can reduce stress and tension in a person and help them handle stressors and outside forces. Meditation does not have to be complicated either. Meditation can be extremely beneficial for those going through stressful life events, those experiencing depression, or anyone looking to relax. The body is affected by the mind and meditation is a step into furthering the connection between the two.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a practice when points are activated that stimulate the central nervous system. This starts the release of chemicals into the spinal cord, brain, and muscles. This is said to help the body heal itself, essentially by activating the body’s immune responses and natural healing capabilities. The process involves inserting very tiny needles into these points through the person’s skin.
