Having worked for years to force an audit of the Federal Reserve, Rand Paul has re-introduced[WP1] the “Federal Reserve Transparency Act,” more commonly known as the “Audit the Fed” bill. With 8 co-sponsors and recently introduced companion legislation, the bill allegedly has the support of the President-Elect Donald Trump.
President-elect Donald Trump reportedly plans to revamp multiple US intelligence agencies, particularly the CIA and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, with a primary goal of shrinking them considerably. As U.S. President-elect Donald Trump continues to receive domestic and international rebuke for his comments on expanding nuclear weapons, the General Assembly of the United Nations on Friday adopted a resolution that calls for negotiations to begin next year on an international treaty to completely ban the use of nuclear weapons. Unfortunately, yet predictably, the resolution was opposed by the major nuclear powers, including the United States, Britain, France and Russia.
The incidents of US’ foreign intervention cited in the Carnegie Mellon database were largely carried out in secret as only one-third of intervention efforts were carried out publicly. Methods included the dissemination of misinformation or propaganda, training one side in campaigning techniques, making threats against a particular candidate, threatening to withdraw foreign aid, and bank-rolling a particular candidate among others.
