Julia Parsell
Julia Parsell has been trained as a Holistic Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. She was raised in a Christian family and has enjoyed a personal spiritual practice for over 30 years. A deep connection to spirit (for as long as she can remember, a young girl) has guided her life. She believes in the power of prayer and has experienced it's power. It is her desire and life purpose to encourage others to connect or reconnect with their true selves and live a liberated life.
Our difficult days are actually a war zone for control over our hearts and minds. We may not physically hear bombs or see trains carrying prisoners, however they exist in a very subtle form. So subtle that one gets trapped before they realize the snare is before them. Those that walk, while practicing self-development are less likely to fall victim, the snares seldom capture the very self aware individual. It’s not too late to free your mind and be liberated. Know this: You have within the most powerful force available. It is your heart. Written into your DNA is a code for truth. This code equals peace, contentment and unconditional love for self and others. Believe this. Trust this. Know this. Allow your heart to retrain your brain.
“Go within everyday and find the inner strength so that the world will not blow your candle out.” Katherine Dunham, anthropologist and dancer. My friends, may we give grace to one another. May we feel love and be set free, no longer trapped by the right and wrong of what we see. May we feel the ‘ripeness’ and have a deep knowing that it will be ok. Choose to be the difference. Choose to be kind. Choose to be brave in love. Look beyond the argument and see the person. Don’t we all want life to be good? Let us be united by love, not separated by ideologies.
I fill my mind with high vibratory thoughts. I feel my body with appreciation.
I fill my soul with unlimited potential. I feel my heart as pure essence.
I fill my senses with beauty, I feel my eyes as love.
I fill my hopes with all the colors of the rainbow, I feel my way in the quiet, the dark, the deep, the wide expanse of no-thing.
The explosive new energy of these days is undeniable, yet sometimes we may not feel it. That is normal, respect it. We are still in process and haven’t fully arrived. Thus, it’s good to have some positive thoughts to sustain during those darker moments. Below are some things from my journal that resonate with me and I hope they do you too.
You know how you want to dance, to run, to play? Do that more. That is what connects you to You, to ME. It is in the gazing at the moon and the stars. It is in the wonder of the sunrise and the tickle of the blades of grass between your toes. It is the course feel of the sand and the coldness of the rock. It is rough bark of the tree and sweet fragrance of the blossom. It is the wetness on your tongue as the snowflake lands and becomes one with you. All of these connect you, enliven you, choose you, to dance. It is in this dance that you feel most alive and are most aligned with truth, peace, goodness, and love.
As an old soul practices presence, accepts they are worthy no matter what, their entire world shifts. When a challenge occurs, watch your words. What do you say? Reframe and rewrite your words so they support a healthy outlook. For example: this is another challenge, I will get through this. #oldsoul
Modern science is anywhere from 17-30 years ahead of current medical practices, this even includes the current medical textbooks. We are actually living in an archaic medical scenario. If something doesn’t work, cut it out. If your hurt, take a pill. If your numbers are off, take some more pills to get the numbers looking good. In the not too distant future this kind of medical practice will be viewed as we now view; blood letting with leeches and the sawing off of limbs on the fields of the US Civil War. Pills for ills will be part of the history books. It will be understood that just as our body produces endorphins that make us happy, it produces all the necessities that keep us well. Actually some experience this now. They recover from cancer and serious illnesses without chemo, drugs or IVs.
A practice that can help. It is called the Four Directions of Love (thank you Becky Parks for adding the Love) and is based on indigenous practices of turning toward and honoring the four directions. Listen to quality mystical poetry such as Yaima. The quality of their music, voice and lyrics are exceptional. “An alluring match of music makers, A unique collaboration of Dreamers, a fine frequency for the future.
Would you like more compassion, unconditional love, forgiveness, generosity and healing in your life?
Within us, we have all we need. Sometimes though it’s nice to have an ally, a confident, a kindred spirit or one that just knows us and can connect on a higher level.
We help others by being the best version of ourself as possible. So grab a stone or look at pictures of ones and “love up” on yourself.
As we connect with a clean crystal (one discharged of negative energy) we aid not only ourselves but each other. Our consciousness attunes to the crystal and vice versa. It’s a subtle concept, yet enormous in character and potential. Our subtle nature supersedes words. It is this subtlety that heals, completes and shows our wholeness within ourself as well our union with all that is.
Sage words: You Are Not Powerless. You as a human being are powerful! You have a heart that knows all things, beyond the intellect. Get to know your heart and let your shadow teach you. Know your enemy, most likely it is not a family member, friend or neighbor. When something triggers and emotions escalate, step back rather than react. Take time to discern the greater truth of these triggers
Here healing is experienced and here lies the “work” to be done. The allowing of a calm mind, free from endless chatter and mind numbing noise. It is only complicated if you decide it to be so. Any obstacle that we own, will continue to grow as we give credence to it. This is a universal law. What we give our attention to grows, whether it be wanted or unwanted. Whatever we resist, persists. So live in the state of being that allows flow, ease and intend to be healthy.
As you learn to let go of religious dogma and conditioned behaviors and expectations, then true freedom within will occur. Delight in this newfound space. Be self-reliant and caring for others. If inner work is to be done or continued, then it is the nature of raising one’s vibration frequency. We all are energetic beings and understanding the nature of vibration is extremely beneficial. This is where change occurs. Living in a high vibratory state is where bliss occurs.
